［意思：意思未来］
話し手の意思を表す。
- I'll show you what I bought at the market. （話し手の意思）
- I will talk about new products of our company.（話し手の意思）
（話し手ではなく）相手の意思を聞く際にも使われる。
- What will you do? （単純に相手の意思を聞く）
- Will you stay for supper? （相手の意思 → 依頼）
- Won't you join us for dinner？（相手の意思 → 勧誘）
話し手の強い意志が命令や禁止となる。
- you will do as I say, at once. （話し手の強い意思 → 命令）
- You will not discuss this matter with anyone. （話し手の強い意思 → 禁止）
［未来：単純未来 → 予定・計画］
誰かの意思は含まれない単純な未来。
- Keit will be five years old next month.
- The train leaves at 9:00 AM, so we'll be in Kyoto by lunchtime.
［推測・推量：～だろう / ～かもしれない］
推測しているのは話し手であることに注意する。
- I've asked her but she won't come. （推測しているのは話し手）
- You will find a wide variety of choices available in school cafeterias. （推測しているのは話し手）
- She will not forgive me. （推測しているのは話し手）
- No one will take the job. （推測しているのは話し手）
［習慣：いつも・よく～する］
- He will leave his socks lying all over the place and it drives me mad.
- He will often sit up all night.
［習性：～するものだ］
- Accidents will happen.
- Oil will float on water.
［固執：（否定文で使われて）どうしても～しない］
- Now he’s in his room. He won’t come out for hours. （主語の意思）
- The car won't start. （物に対しても使われる）
［能力：～できる］
- How will I recognize you?
- The back seat will hold three passengers.
