- １人称：myself（単数）/ ourselves（複数）

［再帰用法］
主語と目的語が同一の場合に用いられる。
- I cut myself on a piece of glass. （他動詞の目的語）
- I can't bring myself to do that.（他動詞の目的語）
- I'm going to do this by myself. （前置詞 by の目的語）
- I'm used to cooking for myself. （前置詞 for の目的語）
［強調用法］
文の構造には含まれず、単なる強調のために用いられる。
- I have to deal with this myself. （前置詞 by の省略ともとれる）
- I'm not feeling so good myself. （前置詞の省略ではない）
- The boss himself called me about the matter.
［慣用句］
- Enjoy yourself.
- Please make yourself at home.
- Do it for yourself.
- They were beside themselves with joy. （beside+再帰代名詞：我を忘れて）
